In a report to ministers, commissioners Kim Bromley-Derry and Jim Taylor said: “The staff, the elected members, and most importantly, the residents, have all noted the changes. The improvement work which was once seen as a standalone priority has now been interwoven with the ‘business as usual’ strategic planning of the council. In short, we believe the council is now meeting its ‘best value’ duty and is capable of taking forward its improvement independently.”

Given all the major crises we face today, a single act of callousness, manipulation, deceit and personal misjustice carried out toward me (and ultimately your children) by Sandwell Council for over 8 years (since 2016), has led me to better understand that this land, where I was born and raised, is indeed a vile, toxic and corrupt environment in every sense.​
Thanks to Sandwell Council we have no parks left, we have no allotments at all, we have no community centres, our libraries, children's day-care centres, our park keepers houses have somehow all been sold, and all of our public assets are being stripped and sold to the private sector for nothing other than greed - but at least we have thousands more private houses!

Furthermore, they sold parcels of the billies public land and said it was private, yet our communities have had our grazing horses thrown off this land for over 40 years due to it being public land!
So, how did it possibly become private overnight?
AFTER ALL OF THESE YEARS OF LIVING HERE, AFTER ALL OF THESE YEARS OF RESEARCH AND TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING, WE WEREN'T EVEN ASKED IF WE WANTED TO BUY IT.

We told Sandwell council about the disgrace at Salop Road allotments (pictured), where it is blatantly obvious to see that they have way too many allotments and facilities on the north-side of the a4123 - like this one.
Look at the wasted facilities and amenities here. Imagine the possibilities, because imagination is all that there is on the south-side of the a4123
How many Crises have we endured? Cost-of-living, foodbanks, etc, and Sandwell Council sell our allotments to their friends and associates, whilst they leave this one (on their side of the road) unkempt, empty, and unused!
It's an absolute scandal. They have been to this site since we told them about it, and it is worse now than it was back then.
